By default, tasks are automatically opened in the side panel. Here you have the possibility to adjust the size of the panel.
In addition to that, there is also the option of automatically displaying items as a pop-up. The advantage of this is that you can immediately see all the information about the task. This is especially helpful for tasks that contain many fields with a lot of information.
Click the "..." symbol in the top right corner and click "Show as popup".
To go back to viewing the task within the side panel, simply click the "..." in the top right corner of the task again and choose "Show as side panel"
