The Authentication settings are part of your general Zenkit profile information, meaning that this a setting that affects all of your Zenkit products, not just Zenkit To Do.

To access the Authentication settings, tap on your name or click on the profile icon, then tap/click your name again and go to the "Authentication" section.

Third Party Logins

Here you can manage which third-party logins you can use to access your account. The current third party logins authorized to access Zenkit To Do are Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or Trello.

Logging in with one of these options does not sync your account to anything contained within those services except for your name and email address.

You can see when a third party login was authorized underneath and also remove the login option by clicking the X next to the name of the login.

Changing your Password

If you created your account using the email and password option, you can also change your password from the Authentication settings.

To do so, tap or click on "Change password". Type in your current password, then enter a new password and confirm it by typing it in again. Click save.

If you've forgotten your current password, click on "I forgot my password". This will send an email to your primary email address (usually the address you registered with, unless you added a new one). Click the link in the email to create a new password for your account.

Note: This will change the password for your Zenkit account and you will need it to log into all Zenkit products. If you also use Zenkit Base, this is the password you will need to log in there too.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

We recommend that you log into the web app or desktop app to enable 2FA, as you will need to use your mobile device to scan a QR code.

To enable 2FA, tap or click on "Two Factor Authentication" in the Authentication section of your Zenkit account settings.

You will see a QR code that you can scan using your phone. If you are unable to do so, you can click on the link under the QR code to get a unique number copied to your clipboard. Paste that number into the field provided and then tap or click on "Activate".

Once activated, you will be required to provide an additional verification code when you log into Zenkit. This will be provided by the authentication app of your choice (e.g. Google Authenticator).

You will also receive a list of backup codes. Please store this in a secure location that you will be able to access any time.

If you enabled 2FA, but can't access the app and have lost your list of backup codes, please contact service@zenkit.com.
