Smart lists are dynamically updated when you make changes to tasks in your other lists and folders, for example, by adding a star or due date. You can access your smart list settings via the Zenkit To Do app settings.
Inbox
Depending on how you like to work, the Inbox may be the main place to go when you want to manage your tasks.
The Inbox gives you an overview of all changes and activities within your lists. The Inbox is divided into “All”, “Unread”, “@mentions”, “Comments”, “Bookmarks” and “Archive”.
At the top right, you can filter the notifications by person.
Unlike other smart lists, the inbox cannot be hidden and always remains at the top of your home list.
Assigned to me
All tasks assigned to you in all lists in your account are displayed in the “Assigned to me” smart list. Only incomplete tasks are displayed. This means that this is the easiest way to get a complete overview of all current and upcoming tasks that you are responsible for.
Accessing tasks assigned to you
To access the tasks assigned to you, tap or click on “Assigned to me” at the top of the navigation pane, or in the start menu. If no tasks have been assigned to you, 'Assigned to me' may not be displayed as it is set to be displayed automatically by default. The option to switch this automatic display on and off can be found in your Smart List settings. New tasks can be added via the bar at the top of the “Assigned to me” smart list. The special feature here is that these are then automatically assigned to you without you having to select this.
Starred
Important tasks are a great way to keep track of your most important tasks. With this feature, you can mark any task from any list as important and it will be displayed in your “Starred” list. Currently, marked tasks are a private feature, meaning no one but you can see which tasks you mark as important.
How to favorite tasks
To favorite an open task, simply click or tap on the star! It's as simple as that. To open a task in the mobile app, swipe to the left and tap the star. To favorite an unopened task on the desktop or in the web app, tap the vertical “...” icon that appears on hover to the right of a task and select “Mark as Starred”.
The favorites smart list
To access your favorite tasks, tap or click on “Favorites” at the top of the navigation pane or in the Start menu. Tasks are displayed grouped by list. If you have not marked anything as a favorite, the “Favorites” list may not be displayed as it is automatically hidden by default as long as it is empty. The option to switch this automatic display on and off can be found in the settings for smart lists.
You can add new tasks to a list and these will then be automatically marked as favorites.
Today
The “Today” list shows all tasks in all lists that are due on or before the current date and have not yet been marked as completed.
All tasks from all lists are displayed here. To find specific tasks, you can filter according to various conditions or simply select a person to whom the corresponding tasks should be assigned.
Access Today
To display tasks that are due or overdue today, tap or click on “Today” at the top of the navigation area or in the start menu. Tasks are displayed grouped by list. If no tasks are overdue today and no tasks are due, the “Today” list may not appear in your Start menu. The option to switch this automatic display on and off can be found in your Smart List settings. You can easily add new tasks via the bar directly at the top of the smart list.
Week
The “Week” list shows you all tasks in all lists that are due in the next 7 days, with the current date as day 1. Overdue tasks are also included in this list. Currently, not only tasks assigned to you are displayed, but all tasks in all lists.
You can sort the tasks displayed in the “Week” smart list as you wish using the sort icon. In addition, you can add filter conditions for a better overview or select a specific person to whom the tasks should be assigned. This way you will only see certain tasks.
Accessing the list "Week"
To view tasks that are due in the next 7 days, tap or click on “Week” at the top of the navigation area or in the start menu. Tasks are displayed grouped by list. If no tasks are overdue or due this week, the “Week” list may not be displayed in your Start menu. The option to switch this automatic display on and off can be found in your Smart List settings.
All
The “All” list shows you all active tasks in all lists, grouped by them. This is hidden by default and can be activated in the Smart List settings.
