Zenkit Calendar is a very simple tool that displays your tasks as they are scheduled in a monthly or weekly calendar view.

Creating the calendar view

To display the calendar view, click on the name of your current view in the upper right corner to open the Views menu. Then click on "Calendar".

The Calendar view displays all the tasks in your project that you have assigned a due date to.

Creating tasks in the calendar view

To create a new task in the calendar view from the month overview, simply click the "+" button in the upper right corner of the date to which you want to add the new task.

When viewing the calendar in the weekly overview, click the "+" icon next to the date to which you want to add the task.

The new task will be created with the date already assigned.

Switching between weekly and monthly overview

To switch between weekly and monthly overviews, simply click on "Week" or "Month" in the upper right corner of the calendar. Then, to switch between the individual weeks and months, click on the arrow icons. To navigate to the current date, click "Today".

Viewing unscheduled tasks

To view unscheduled tasks, click the "Undated" in the upper right corner.

This will open a menu that lists unscheduled tasks. You can cause this menu to be fixed on the page by clicking the panel icon in the upper right corner of the menu. You can drag and drop items from the menu and panel into the calendar.

You can also add new tasks from this panel by clicking Add Task at the bottom of the panel.

Assigning task times

To schedule a task, you can view the list of unscheduled tasks and drag the task to your calendar. To change the date a task is scheduled, drag it to the new date you want to assign. To get tasks without dates, just drag them back to the list of tasks without a date.

You can also change the date of a task by clicking on the date in the detail view or on the date column in the table view and assigning a new one.

Changing which date field is displayed

Sometimes a task may have more than one date field associated with it - for example, a draft, a review, and a final due date, as each is important to a different team member.

You can easily change which of these date fields your calendar displays. Click the "Calendar" button in the upper right corner to open the view options. Click "Edit" next to "Calendar" and then click "Date Field." Select the date field you want to display from the menu.

Displaying times in the calendar view

To display the time when a particular task is scheduled, make sure the date field is positioned near the top of the task, and then increase the task size for the Calendar view or expand the tasks.
