As you might already know from Zenkit Projects, we do now offer dashboards. Dashboards can be added to your collections just like views.

On the dashboard itself, you can customize which items are included in the overview. You can also drag and drop all the widgets and resize them to your liking. Get an overview of all items concerned by simply clicking on one of the widgets.

Adding new Widgets

Widgets are added by clicking on the right of the three grey buttons labelled "Add Widget". Similar to the views, an overview with all available widgets will appear here. Select the one you want and click on "Create".

In addition to that you can manage even more details during this process. This includes setting a grouping or sorting for this widget, besides many other funk

By default, the dashboard will consist of a note field and a graph. Of course, you can customize both widgets just like any new widget you add.

Charts on your dashboard

Although all charts are very different to each other, most of the basic settings are very similar.

Just as described above, during the process of creating a new widget, a few settings will appear on the left side of the screen that can be managed while creating your widget.

Clicking on the button below "Chart Style" will open a dropdown menu from which you can select your desired style.

This makes it possible for you to add an individualized widget with everything you want to see and need to your dashboard. Choose which items to include in the widget, what the style of the chart should be, how the axes are distributed and how the contents can be exported.

Pie chart

Within pie charts, you can customize the chart configuration. Choose a grouping as well as an aggregation.

Bar chart

For bar charts, the x-axis is the grouping, while the y-axis additionally reflects a numerical value.

Doughnut chart

In the doughnut chart, the configuration is made with the help of a grouping and a count. Simply select one of your fields for the grouping. In addition, select which number should be included in the chart.

Furthermore, you can display a legend, which can speed up and simplify the interpretation of the widget. You can easily remove and add them as you wish by deactivating the button.

Line chart

In Line charts you can also determine what is represented on the x- and y-axis. Just as with the bar chart, one of the fields can be selected for the x-axis. The y-axis is used for the number.

Sticky notes and rich text for your dashboard

After having clicked on your desired widget format, you will be guided back to your dashboard. To make any changes to the sticky notes or the rich text widget, simply hover over them. A tiny menu will appear in the top right corner.

For sticky notes, you will be able to individualize the background colour as well as the text colour. The little navigation cross below the menu will make it possible for you to move the sticky note wherever you want it to be.

In the bottom right corner, you will see a little arrow symbol. Click on it, hold it and drag the note to the size you desire. The tiny bin symbol will delete the sticky note when clicked.

The rich text widget will come with a tiny bin symbol in the top right corner as well that will delete the widget when clicking on it. To write something in the rich text widget, simply click the pencil symbol.

Changing the size of widgets

To adjust the size of the different widgets, move the cursor to one of the corners of the widget to be adjusted. An arrow will appear. Click on it and drag the widget to the desired size. The mouse button should be held down continuously until the desired size is found. Release it when it is reached.

Accessing the widget settings

You can open the settings for each widget by moving the mouse over the corresponding widget. A settings icon appears in the upper right corner of the widget. Click on it to open the settings. On the right side of the Settings, you will always see a preview of the widget you are currently editing.

Removing widgets

Widgets can be deleted again via the settings. Open the settings as described above and scroll to the bottom of the settings menu. Then click "Remove widget".
