In Zenkit, changing the resource type within a list allows you to modify the structure and functionality of the list depending on your needs.

To initiate this process, open the list settings by clicking on the list's name. Once in the settings, scroll down to locate the “Resource Type” field.

Hover over it, and you will see an option to “Change Type.”

Upon selecting this option, a menu will appear, offering different target types such as Database, Tasklist, or Project.

Each of these types has specific features. For example, a Database helps to structure data, a Tasklist focuses on task management, and a Project offers advanced tools for complex project planning, such as subtasks and resource planning.

Once you’ve chosen the target type, Zenkit may prompt you to manage field matching.

This step is essential because some resource types require different mandatory fields. Make sure all necessary fields are properly aligned with the new type. When you are satisfied with the adjustments, click “Update” to apply the changes, and the list will adopt its new resource type.

This flexibility makes Zenkit a versatile tool for organizing information, whether you need a basic task list, a detailed project plan, or a structured database.
